We too
Once
For a while
For a year
For a century or a period of one thousand years
Just ahead of you
Had stood up on this place
On this planet
On this soil
For a tiny given time, just as is,
Within the silk of darkness
Under the flaxen sun
On the wide veranda of moonlight
Under the warps of the rain
Inside the chamber of happiness
Or, surrounded by fences of melancholy
Lonely in ourselves
Lonely among others
Unique in love
Unique in songs
Filled with life
Filled with death
We too, just like you,
Have passed over this planet
Over this soil
In a tiny given time of few years
Over the same place where you are now standing up
Either humble or ignoble
Laughing or heartrending
Frolicsome or onerous
Free or chained
We too
Once
